The celebration of American independence is approaching, which means it’s time to start looking into local festivities. Pittsburgh is one of the most patriotic cities in the United States, so it’s only right to expect some massive crowds and plenty of entertainment! Here are some Fourth of July events in Pittsburgh that you won’t want to miss according to us at Wright Chevrolet Buick GMC.
Point State Park
Point State Park will hold an all-day affair of an American Independence celebration. The festivities kick off at noon. Musical entertainment starts in the afternoon, followed by a 21-gun salute. One of the largest fireworks shows in the region is scheduled to take place at 9:35pm. The fireworks can be seen from a variety of other nearby locations for those who wish to avoid crowds.
Located just across the river from Point State Park is Heinz Field, another hotspot for Fourth of July celebrations. Excellent food, live entertainment, and a massive fireworks show are all on the agenda. Best of all, admission is free. The Fourth of July fest ivies kick off with the gates opening at 2pm and live music starting at 5pm.
